As pointed out by Elsie McKee in yesterday's reflection on the ptsem.edu page, Calvin is addressing a Christian society where there is agreement about 1) holy scripture as God's word, 2)the existence and nature of one God,just and true 3)Jesus is God's Son. In today's diverse pluralistic culture we do well as Christians to find places of agreement.
